The Great Vigil of Easter
The Great Vigil of Easter is the holiest of the Holy Triduum, and therefore of the entire Church Year. On this sacred day, we gather outside around a burning pyre at sunset, and light the Paschal Candle. We process into the church for readings and meditations on the entire story of salvation as we await the long-coming event. At the symbolic moment of resurrection, the lights come up, bells ring (bring your own!), and we break into great celebration.
The service is followed by a champagne toast and “breakfast” in the parish hall. Children and families most welcome!

Good Friday
The second day of the Holy Triduum is a quiet mourning service of the crucifixion of Christ. We gather without access to the Holy Eucharist, pray, and leave to continue our wait.

Maundy Thursday
The first event of the Holy Triduum, the three most sacred days of the Church Year, is Maundy Thursday where we remember the mandate of Jesus to wash each other’s feet. The Gethsemane Watch all-night vigil is open for hourly signups through dawn.

Palm Sunday
We will be celebrating the Sunday of the Passion at 8 am and 10:30 am with palm-waving and gospel-reading. Our Adult Formation at 9:15 am will be looking at the Entrance into Jerusalem through Biblical and scholarly perspectives.
